The greatest gift you could offer
us would be your presence. We are so looking forward
to sharing the weekend with you all. We would, of course,
never want to deny anyone the opportunity to offer gifts,
so we've created a few options for you.
Room to Read
In 2003 we spent some time in Laos
teaching English. You can read our journal
and view photos.
Many of you were incredibly generous and donated towards
the books we were able to give to the school. After
we returned to the States, we looked for organizations
we could volunteer for that were working with children
in Laos. Tania happened upon Room to Read, which was
not yet working in Laos but had plans to start projects
there in 2005. We have had a great time volunteering
with Room to Read and we are so excited to watch the
Laos projects taking shape.
In lieu of a gift, we would be honored
if you chose to make a donation to Room to Read. Room
to Read has set up a special registry in our name and
all gifts will go toward creating reading rooms, scholarships,
and schools in Laos. To give to Room to Read, you can
